The Newberg City Council met at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday July 7th and the following transpired:
- Mayor Bill Rosacker made a Proclamation, announcing July 23rd-26th 2026 is Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Week.
- Council Passed Resolution 2026-4038, approving the renewal of the City’s Microsoft Licensing Agreement for the remaining two years of the current three-year agreement.

Resolution 2026-4029 was adopted, enacting the ADA policy and accompanying accommodation request form.
- Council approved Resolution 2026-4036, declaring two small parcels of unused land south of the Sportsman Airpark as surplus.
- Council discussed the intersection of N. Main, Illinois St and Hwy 24 and heard multiple public comments regarding concerns surrounding the temporary closure. A motion to immediately re-open Illinois St at the intersection with N. Main St and that a long-term solution be addressed by the Traffic Safety Commission was made and passed with a 5 to 1 vote.
