About Emergency ManagementThe objective of the Emergency Management Program is to help the whole community prepare for emergencies. We plan and train for a coordinated response and recovery. The City partners with area agencies and community groups to help businesses and residents prepare themselves for disasters. The goal is to protect lives, property, the environment, and restore essential services.

Services include:

  • Emergency alerts via Everbridge phone/text/email system 
  • Staff Training and Response planning
  • Community Education and Resources
  • Event Review and Planning
  • Emergency Water Filtration Units
  • Facilitating Grant and Partnership opportunities

Stay safe, stay informed. Sign-up for emergency alerts now. 
Emergency alerts through Everbridge allow the City to send emergency notifications or important information to Newberg and Dundee residents, businesses, and the surrounding area. There is no charge to use the Everbridge system, and personal information is kept confidential.

Within the Everbridge system, users can choose what types of alerts they would like to receive and how they would like to receive them including:
  • Email
  • home, mobile, school, and business
  • text messages
Types of Notifications:
  • Emergency Evacuations
  • Hazardous Chemical Spills

  • Hostage Situations
  • Criminal Activity
  • Extreme Weather
