City of Newberg Welcomes Jenna Gray as New Human Resources Manager

(NEWBERG, OR) – The City of Newberg is pleased to announce the hiring of Jenna Gray as its new Human Resources Manager, following a competitive hiring process aimed at finding a worthy successor to outgoing HR professional Alison Seiler, who is transitioning out of her part-time management role. The City Manager has requested that she remain with the city assisting the Admin team in an on-call role.
Gray brings a strong background in human resources leadership, most recently serving as HR Manager for Lacrosse Footwear/Danner Boots. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Portland State University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration through Franklin University, with an expected completion in 2027. She earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2025 and was recognized with the Portland Business Journal’s HR Leadership Award in 2026.
Outside of her professional work, Gray has a lifelong connection to music, beginning with competitive singing in second grade and growing up in a family band. In college, she expanded into the technical side of music production and recording, and counts classic country among her biggest influences. The City will welcome this native Oregonian to the team very soon with a start date of June 24, 2026.
