Main Street Waterline Replacement
The existing cast iron water main in N Main St has an extensive history of leaks that have placed the main at higher risk of failure and created the need for a main replacement. The project limits are within N Main Street between Hancock Street and Franklin Street. The existing 4” and 6” cast iron water main will be removed and replaced with new 8” ductile iron main within the same alignment. The project includes tie-in connections to existing water services and water branch connections, fire hydrants, air release valves, and flushing assemblies, asphalt restoration, and the abandonment or removal of existing mains and services.

In early July, Keller Associates initiated design of Main Street waterline replacement project. Scope includes replacement of cast iron water main with extensive history of leaks between Hancock Street and Franklin Street.  Coordination and permitting with ODOT and UPRR will be required.
A kickoff meeting was held with the City on July 10th .
Topographical survey was completed in early August.

30% design was submitted on September 23rd. A review meeting with city staff was held on October 7th.

Keller is currently developing 60% drawings which will be used to initiate the rail permitting process. Anticipated completion for 60% design is late November.

City staff are assisting with utility pothole coordination to confirm existing utility elevations at crossings with the proposed waterline.

Keller submitted 60% design for city review on November 21st. A review meeting with city staff was held on December 5th.

Review comments were incorporated into the 60% design, and the drawings were submitted to UPRR to initiate the railroad permitting process
