| PERMIT TYPES | WHEN TO APPLY |
| BUILDING PERMIT | Use this permit when you are applying for a combination of Structural, Mechanical or Plumbing permits. This could be for New Single Family, structural alterations to existing or assesory dwellings. |
| SAME DAY PERMIT |
Simple Mechanical only, Plumbing only or Commercial Siding or Reroofing construction work. |
| SIGN PERMIT |
Signs that are either on a building or stand alone |
| FIRE SPRINKLER/ALARM PERMIT | If you are altering an existing or Adding a New Fire Sprinkler system. |
| RFI/ASI/DEFERRED/REVISION PERMITS | If you are submitting a revision, deferred submittal or request for information on a submitted permit. |

Your permit expires if work is not started within 180 days from its issuance. Once you have begun work, your permit expires if work is suspended or abandoned for 180 days or more. If you cannot work within a 180-day period but do not wish to abandon the project, you need to submit a request to the local building official for a permit extension.
